Gerakan Youth deputy chief Lim Si Pin, who is son of ex-president Lim Keng Yaik, has been elected Youth chief at party's 21st National Delegates Conference today in Kuala Lumpur.
Si Pin (photo) garnered a thumping 242 votes against Kedah Youth chief Tan Keng Liang (115) and Negri Sembilan Youth chief Chai Tek Long (105).
However, his running mate, former Negeri Sembilan Youth chief Paul Yong Yoon Kong, was edged out by Penang Youth chief Oh Tong Keong by 274 votes to 188.
Si Pin, 39, was a favourite to win after Mah Siew Keong vacated the post to contest for the party vice-presidency - Malaysiakini.com
