Kapar parliamentarian S Manikavasagam has quit his Selangor PKR deputy liaison chief post following his fallout with Selangor Mentri Besar Khalid Ibrahim and growing frustrations with the party leadership.
Manikavasagam, who is often referred to as Mike, will nevertheless remain in the party supreme council until after his meeting with PKR chieftain Anwar Ibrahim, who is currently overseas.
Speaking to reporters in Petaling Jaya today, Manikavasagam said he would be attending the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention on Jan 5 in India.
While in India, he is also expected to meet Hindraf leader P Waythamoorthy, who is in self-imposed exile in United Kingdom.
